Canine Cadaver Detection

News Flash!!      April 19th 2008 - Hawthorne, NV Bosco locates 108 year old unmarked Chinese cemetary

With little help other then a general area we were given the task of trying to find a 100 year old unmarked cemetary. The video is long and lengthy but Bosco was very intent on the areas marked. Although Bosco is mainly a Cadaver dog doing some protection work and trying his hand at Rally. (So we had no idea if he could find a grave that was so old). He seemed to really excel above and beyong our expectations on this task. I attached what we found for information after the fact of searching the area. Bosco hit on 23 sites. Some being grave in length. So we are in hopes that the county can now put the families memories to rest with a memorial for them.

The death or loss of a family member or loved one is tough to say the least. Complicating this stressor even more, is the failure of a body to lay to rest. Cadaver Detection Dogs work in a variety of environments and seek lost or distressed persons and the deceased. Often times this presents the challenges of dealing with homocide, suicide, and other such tragedies to the handlers and dogs. Despite these and other amazing challenges, this work continues and offers a sense of releif to those who without this type of service may never have closure or respite.

Here at Nevada Canine we develop Cadaver Detection Dogs that serve in these and other similar fashions. Please do not hesitate to contact us at anytime. 1-775-316-0016
