By 2012 NV K9 will give away 50 trained/certified K9s to law enforcement agencies nationwide.
NV K9 uses only positive training methods that are play reward driven!
**Our bite trained dogs bite on command or defensive response only; and are not prey driven.
By 2015 NV K9 will give away 400 trained/certified K9 yearly to law enforcement agencies nationwide.
NV K9 will train dogs for protection/patrol work, detection specialties, tracking/trailing, drug interdiction, and others.
By 2015 NV K9 will save the US economy $33,000,000 annually through its activities that require an operating expense of less than $1,000,000 annually.
NV K9 will produce professional grade working K9s for law enforcement.
NV K9 is a no-kill operation and any dogs (if any) not suitable for law enforcement work will be retrained as assistance dogs and given to an appropriate agency for the disabled.
NV K9 will operate a K9 QRT for NV State DEM that is capable of 24/7 nationwide emergency response and deployment.
NV K9 will operate a K9 special operations (SPECOPS) training center that LE can attend with dogs to receive continuing education and state of the art extended tactical training.
NV K9 will offer state of the art training on its 1300 acres facility that used green alternative energy technology and leaves virtually no environmental impact and generates practically no waste/rubbish.
** Not all dogs are bite trained. Bite dogs are trained due to agency need/request only.
NV K9 is a Nevada nonfit corporation that is arduously pursuing its mission of changing America, One Dog at a Time. We believe that every law enforcement agency should have a K9 program and every officer a dog. We are offering trained/certified canines free of any charge to law enforcement agencies nationwide. NV K9 uses the latest training paradigms combined with the techniques of the old masters to produce high-quality results in working dogs. We have trained dogs for Explosives Detection, IED alerting, Patrol, Protection, Tracking/Trailing, Narcotics, Cadaver, Disability Assistance, and SAR Tracking to name a few. Many of our dogs are dual purpose trained and undergo 1600 hours of training prior to graduation and placement.
Our Handler/Trainers possess over twenty years of experience in Law Enforcement, Fire Protection, Military and Civilian Service. We are experienced and certified for work and response in Hazardous Materials Incidents and Confined Space Searches, Detection Work, SAR Tracking, Emergency work and many others.
